Guidelines for payment of fines

Fines are $.15 per day for books and audio materials. Fines are $1.00 per day for videos and DVD's. Fines over $5.00 may be paid for by check. Two forms of identification are required: picture ID and one other. Lost books may be paid for by check. If from another library, the check should be made out to the library that owns the material. A $15 return check fee will be added to the patron's account if the check bounces.

Library cards

Library cards are available that can be used in most libraries throughout Allegheny County. At least one form of identification with a current address is required in order to register the first time. Lost cards will be replaced for a fee.

Printing costs

Printing from the computer or at the copier is $.10 per sheet.

Computer usage

Library cards are essential for computer usage. The patron number must be inserted in order to use the computer. Computer usage is limited to 2 hours per day.
